Mubasher: Kuwait announced a suspension of all flights to and from Kuwait International Airport as well as the plans set for evacuating citizens starting midnight Friday, 13 March, until further notice, in an attempt to curb the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The government will announce operational regulation and evacuation plans later, the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior, Anas Al Saleh, said.
He further clarified that all of the decisions connected with the China virus are temporary and subject to change on a daily basis according to circumstances and repercussions.
Previously, the country halted all commercial flights to and from Kuwait airport as of Friday until further notice.
